A good weekend

Had a good weekend, felt productive. We painted our bedroom . It was the first time I've painted since we helped our tenant, Barbara, paint her place when I was maybe 10 years old. I think it came out pretty well. I'm excited to have it done. Now we can finally start decorating the room, which I'm definitely looking forward to.

Friday night we saw a musical! Sweeney Todd at the CCCT, we had a blast. It's a macabre story of a vengeful barber and his lover the baker's immoral meat pies. The two leads have excellent voices and the theater itself is so small, you're just feet from the stage. The performers even sing in the aisles. It's still running for another month, so if you're interested in supporting some good wholesome (mostly) community theater, I'd recommend checking it out. Plus, it's in El Cerrito just a few blocks from our place, so open invitation to stop by for a beer afterwards.

Sunday, the sun came out and we took Zahava for a bike ride with my new Springer bicycle-dog contraption. I'll take some pictures of us the next time we go out. In the mean time, that's what it looks like so you can get an idea. We definitely get a lot of looks riding down the Ohlone bicycle path. Had a good 4 mile ride and she was exhausted by the time we got home. She spent the rest of the day asleep, waking up every hour or two to move to whichever room we were in.

And then it was Monday and I had to go back to work. Oh well.
